Biography

Mr Radwan is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon whose expertise includes bespoke cataract surgery, glaucoma laser treatments, minimally invasive and penetrating glaucoma surgery. He qualified in medicine and surgery in 2002 from Sohag University with an honours degree.

He toured the UK to complete his post graduate Ophthalmology qualifications, working at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardi‑, Edinburgh’s Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion Hospital, and then Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. During his specialist training in Edinburgh, he was awarded the Scottish Ophthalmology Club prize.He went on to complete his Fellowship in glaucoma and complex cataract surgery at London’s Western Eye Hospital. Mr Radwan had firmly established his interest in ophthalmology, early in his medical career and he sits on the Royal College of Ophthalmologist examination committee. While continuing his work within the NHS at East Su‑olk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, he is also looking forward to joining the brand new Optegra Eye Clinic Colchester.
