Insurance options available at Optegra

If you have been diagnosed with cataracts, and have private medical insurance (PMI), did you know that this can help fund your private cataract treatment?

Whether you are opting for standard private cataract surgery (with a monofocal lens) or advanced lens options (such as a multifocal lens) for bespoke cataract surgery PMI can help. We have a wide range of high-quality lens options to correct astigmatism and also help reduce dependency on glasses and contact lenses. 

Do check with your individual provider, but typically standard cataract (monofocal lens) is entirely covered by PMI, and for bespoke lens options, PMI contributes and you pay an uplift fee.

To take advantage of this, all you have to do is provide us with your PMI membership number and reach out to your provider to get an authorisation code. We can then take care of everything for you.

To avoid any delays ahead of your visit to Optegra Hospital for your pre-op assessment, please share your membership number and authorisation code with our Patient Services Team. At the latest, please provide them upon arrival that day.
